We have encountered a problem in our search for resources to expand our base!
Our ore scanner is configured for locating unknown materials for research and classification. Its ability to find new sources of specific known materials is limited. It should be possible to use a small quantity of spare ore to act as an advanced filter allowing us to locate just the resources we require.
We have successfully upgraded the ore scanner to support filtering. To do this create a blank ore ping at the manufacturing plant then convert it into the required ore ping filter using your suit's self crafting capability (C).
Place the ore ping filter into your hotbar, select it, then activate (LMB). This will feed it into the ore scanner and a filtered ping will be dispatched by the ore scanner. The filter is consumed.
